Station, Asmara, Eritrea, Ethiopia
The last pix in this first section is of our first "going away" party at our enlisted mens club in Asmara. The second segment is of a reunion, I believe in '99. Then various pix of our hunting trips in Eritrea. We would go out for a week or longer and got fairly grubby. Bathing was not an important part of our daily routine.
New Orleans 1999
On August 19 - 22, 1999 a reunion was held in New Orleans, LA at the Holiday Inn
Chateau Lamoines hotel. The gathering consisted primarily of ASA buddies who
were stationed at Kagnew in 1959 and 1960. These pictures, taken by David Cope,
indicate that a great time was had by all. Although this was their first
reunion, the group plans to do it again in the near future.
